Yeah it’s time to do this.
Many things have been changed in my life in the last years and now looks like I have the time to do that again, finally.
So, here we go guys! let’s restart this in the easy way, I’ll think about improve it later.
Actually the reviews will be pretty random and will not follow a common template, also, I want to introduce for the first time a rating system for the reviewed movies on Horrordrome.com. The rating system is pretty basic as it’s pretty useful and very immediate:

NOT APPROVED – The movie, basically, is a fail… and when we talk about a fail on Horrordrome we don’t mean the movie is not a super hollywood budget one but something which is boring to see, giving you almost zero feelings, leaving you nothing to think, talk or laugh with your friends. Something pretty flat which you can die even without ever watched it.

APPROVED – The movie worth the time/money you spent for watching it, it leaves inside you something to think, talk or laugh about for some days after you’ve watched it. In few words, you should watch it.

HORRORDROME’s Masterpiece – The movie is a masterpiece, it gives you alot to think, talk or laugh about for some time, it maybe changed a genre or created a new one, it means something to the movie trends and it contains one or more EPIC sequences you will hardly forget for the rest of your life. Many independent movies with bad acting and nearly 0 dollars budget will be included in this category, being an Horrordrome’s masterpiece doesn’t means the movie enjoyed or be approved by the masses. It just need to be approved by sick minds ;)

Fractured Minds, new slasher short looking for fame

A new independent horror slasher short has been revelaed to the horror genre, we’re talking about Fractured Minds, shooted in a week last November by a crew of 28 persons with $70.000 budget.
The short has 30 mins lenght and it was shooted in Orangeburg county, a place where the lead role actor, Fornari, lived back in the ’90s and he was impressed from that location, really suitable for a horror movie.
The plot is about some couples seeking for relax spending a weekend in the woods, finding a serial killer hunting them.

The movie has been screened in Columbia and will screening in Miami next soon, looking for a distributor.

Today we’re facing a real masterpiece of the zombie movies and independent horror cinema.
Medias are getting better days after days and so the creative ideas of artists are getting more interesting as well. Using the last youtube features, those filmakers have made a nice well made interactive independent zombie movie! yes, you can make your choices while you watch the short and “live” the movie in a new different way. There aren’t so many choices avaiable, but it’s a good start for a new wave of interactive movies, also the short is very cool and funny. The future is now.

Filmmaker Blake Reigle (BENEATH THE SURFACE) is premiering his latest short film online just in time for Valentines Day 2011. DAMN LOVE is a black, and red, comedy about the lengths a shy man goes to in order to let the apple of his eye know how he truly feels about her. Horribly, his inability to look her dead in the face and communicate his feelings causes a series of unfortunate events that will keep them apart for eternity.
DAMN LOVE stars Ed Ackerman (HATCHET 2, FROZEN), Alexis Peters (HATCHET 2, VALENTINE’S DAY), and Colton Dunn HATCHET 2, MAD TV)

We don’t know so much about this upcoming alien movie but the marketing about it is going well and the hype is steadly increasing, maybe thank to the fact of the actual “world wide alien fever”we’re experiencing nowadays due to spamming inbreeding about the end of the world in A.D. 2012. However, the movie seems to be cool and interesting trying to show us what a real massive alien attack on planet Earth can be, it will more similar to a destroying one like “Independence day” instead of a calm one as we saw in “Signs”.

Today they released some new viral images showing different periods and locations under alien attack, from the past to the actual days.

Forever War: News about the screenplay author

Maybe you already know, or maybe not, that Ridley Scott is about to filming his next movie based on the 1974 sci-fi romance “Forever War” written by Joe Haldeman.
Haldeman some days ago on his blog revealed the name of the guy who is working on the screenplay rearrangement based on his book, the name is David Webb Peoples, which was the screenplay editor of Blade Runner.
Haldeman said he’s working on the fourth revision of the screenplay, so I guess it wont takes so much before things will get in a real production stage.

The novel is about a war between humans and an alien race named Taurans. The book is fullfilled about criticism about war and human society. Due to the problem of overpopulation people on Earth are almost all turned in homosexual people, soldiers are voluntarly left to the border of society without work for force them to join ntheir next war mission in the forever war which is going on. Behind that messages about war and a warning about be more humans in a near future to prevent situations like that, I hope in a good looking sci-fi combat movie like Starship Troopers.

Paranormal Activity: Epic panic in Italy

So, for another time I feel sorry for myself being an italian. Actually one of the worst country all over the world.

As stated in this news Paranormal Activity is processing to become forbidden to everyone under 18 yo in Italy cause of the extreme effects on the italian kids. Not only seems to be pretty frequent for people here to call an ambulance during the movie watching but in the worst cases someone experienced several mind problems in the following days such as panic crysis, vomit and some other nasty effects. All that for have watched Paranormal Activity.

Italian ridiculous lawyers are trying to get some refunds for those idiots who are actually in panic after seen that movie, LOL!
Yeah I’m sorry if I’m laughing about people mind destroyed for an horror movie in 2010 but it looks like so funny to me, it always be in that way. I remember when I was a child some classroom mates didn’t come to school the night after one italian television broadcasted Nightmare on elm street, those childrens wasn’t able to sleep after seen the movie so the following morning the parents keep them at home, lucky them. Noone talked about refunds in those days, was the 80′s.
